Ellie is a 13.2 hand, 7 year old large pony mare, possibly a Haflinger mix.  She is a light bay with black legs, 4 white socks and a long and silky pale grey mane and tail.  Ellie is a gorgeous girl, very stocky and sturdy and could handle a small adult rider.

She gets along well with other horses and has developed good ground manners since coming to Doxy’s.  We did discover a small band of scar tissue on a rear fetlock.  This was examined by our vet who suggested lunging 3-4 times a week on sod to break it up.  Ellie exhibits no signs of lameness, just looking to her future.  She has been under saddle with a rider, is willing and receptive but knows nothing about being a riding horse.  She has worked at several public events, well behaved giving pony rides and is a show stopper with her looks.  The adoption fee for Ellie is $400. All excellent homes will be considered.
