Doxy's Horse Recovery welcomes visitors of all kinds, families, small groups from organizations
and folks who are just interested in seeing what we do and have a love for horses. With the permission of our visitors,
this page is dedicated to their visits and our ongoing mission to promote the recovery, rehabilitation and re-homing
of horses.
Our
daughter, Christie, granddaughter, Lydia who adopted Spice and Lena, their
international student from Germany, visited Doxy’s
from March 29, 2013 through April 3rd.
What a great time they had working with the
horses, riding and just being with us.
Many thanks to them for the pictures they took and emailed to us.

Shannon Taking Fortune for a Ride

Kate and Carolyn spent a hot,
dusty, hard-working, and wonderful day at Doxy’s on June 28, 2012. They
did all the dinner chores under Marilyn’s supervision, groomed the horses they would ride, saddled up, and headed to
the arena for some safe and gentle horseback time. Shannon, a new volunteer,
came to give Fortune and try-out and her friend Ryan was in charge of goat training and helped us get almost 100 pictures
of the day. Thank you Doxy’s for a memorable day!

Daisy Troop 179 from Vestal,
NY visited Doxy’s on June 4, 2012 to meet the horses, get a ride and feed them snacks.
Twelve girls, ages 6-7, and couple of boys along with two troop leaders had a great time but no better than Michael,
Marilyn, the horses, and Gidget the dwarf goat. This wonderful troop of the first
level of Girl Scouts donated $400 to Doxy’s to help take care of the horses! What
a tribute to them and their leaders for contributing to the welfare of Doxy’s horses.
The Horse Crazy Kids 4-H group
spent a “rocky” day at Doxy’s on April 13, 2012. A total of
21 boys and girls, ranging from 5-18 years old, along with several adults honed their rock picking skills along with some
equine grooming as part of a 4-H community service project. The group “rocked”
and Doxy’s truly appreciated their help!
