354 Sprague Road Afton, NY 13730

Greetings from Doxy's Horse Recovery, Inc. and Clyde, a 8
year old barn clown who came to us dying of pneumonia and miraculously survived, the mascot of Doxy's. He has a
comforter in the barn that he pulls down every night for his blanket. Clyde represents our mission, a love for
horses.
Michael announced that Clyde could be adopted for a firm ONE MILLION DOLLARS!! The fee was
then increased to $1.5 million after discovering Clyde could be saddled, bridled and ridden. His adoption
fee is now TWO MILLION DOLLARS since Clyde was featured in a magazine, "Kids Wear" - what a guy, from clown
to celebrity!

Welcome to Doxy's Horse Recovery
Doxy's Horse Recovery, Inc. is run by a couple who feel passionate about caring for unwanted horses
and placing them in loving new homes. Doxy's was started when they moved to the country from a residential area so they could
continue with their rescue of dachshunds. Their new location also offered them the opportunity to begin taking in and re-homing
horses. The name Doxy's comes from the many dachshunds they have in addition to the horses.
Doxy's Horse Recovery, Inc.’s
mission is to recover, rehabilitate and re-home horses that otherwise have no chance at life and are typically headed to facilities
for slaughter and sold as meat. Some of these horses come through the auction
and others are direct cast-offs from the horse racing industry. When you adopt a horse from Doxy's you are helping to save
a life and to further Doxy's mission.
Doxy’s is committed to
education as the only solution to the plight of horses by educating individuals and the public about proper care and responsibilities,
the issues of neglect, abuse, and slaughter and over-breeding.
All adoptable and adopted horses can be viewed at Petfinder.com, Equine.com,
Horseclicks.com, Rescue Me.org. and on Facebook.
Rescue Me! is a free site to help find homes for adoptable animals. Learn more!
Doxy's is a 501(c)(3) public charity, retroactively approved to July 2009.
We have no paid employees and an all volunteer board of officers. We believe in "Connecting Good People with Good
Horses".
We encourage visitors, including small groups from scout troops, 4-H, etc.,
to tour Doxy's and find out about the horses and their care. If you would like to have a group visit, give us a call
and we'll set up a time that's convenient for everyone. If you have a group that cannot travel, we may be able to make
arrangements to visit you.
Directions to Doxy's:
Take route 88 to the Afton exit, which turns into 41 north. Follow route
41 for 4-5 miles, make a left turn onto Sprague Road, go for 1 1/2 miles, house is on the left before the state land. Look
for 354 Sprague Road and a horse flag flying from an out building just past the house.
Doxy's Horse Recovery, Inc. Awards
We
at how-to-train-a-horse.org truly admire those who dedicate time out of their lives towards
helping horses. As many people know, healthy horses require large amounts of time and money, but only few know that
the horses sent to rescues and shelters don't need just time and money, but also need a loving family to reverse years of
abuse and neglect.
Without
horse rescues like Doxy's Horse Recovery, countless horses would not get the care they need and many horses may have never
found happiness. Because of this we wanted to show our appreciation towards your staff for not only saving horses lives
but also for improving the quality of life for many horses. So we are pleased to present Doxy's Horse Recovery with
our Horse Rescue & Relief Award.
We
thank you for all the time and hard work your organization provides for horses in need. We understand what a difficult
task this can be and hope that this token of our appreciation will show you how much you really are appreciated.
Thanks
again for all that you do!

praise– Doxy's Horse Recovery is absolutely an organization we place among those that need recognition.
Thank
